Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Hookup Safety Engineer for the F21 FAB project in Phoenix, AZ. You will monitor safety practices, ensure OSHA compliance, and assess risks while supporting international projects as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field and at least 1 year of safety experience; strong communication and PPE readiness are essential for success in a demanding semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or related field.
Minimum 1 year of safety-related experience.
Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI standards and industrial hygiene.
Proficiency with MS Office and safety management software.
Comfortable working in clean rooms and wearing PPE as required.
Willing to support international projects and travel when needed.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety inspections in cleanrooms and semiconductor workspaces.
Enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI standards and safety policies.
Perform hazard identification, safety inspections, training, and risk assessments.
Ensure industrial hygiene principles are upheld in operations.
Implement and enforce safety protocols across contractor activities on site.
Conduct job-specific safety plans, JSAs, risk assessments and reports.
Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Use MS Office and safety software for documentation and scheduling.
Support development and delivery of safety training sessions.
