GlobalFoundries inc. invites applications for a CMOS FEOL Reliability Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Malta, NY.

The role supports the Fab 8 Reliability Engineering organization, working with cross-functional teams to assess reliability performance across advanced CMOS technologies. You will learn device reliability fundamentals, analyze test data, and develop automated data-analysis and visualization tools to improve visibility of reliability trends across platforms.

Qualifications

Must be a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or related field.
Overall GPA of at least 3.0.
English language fluency (written & verbal).
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Learn semiconductor device reliability fundamentals (HCI, BTI, TDDB, GOI, PRM).
Analyze wafer-level and fast wafer-level reliability data using statistical methods.
Develop automated data-analysis, reporting, dashboard, and visualization solutions.
Prepare reliability assessment documentation and present findings at internship conclusion.
