Job summary

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 in Malta, NY is seeking a talented Test Engineer to join the Reliability Engineering team. You will develop test programs and perform wafer- and package-level reliability testing, collaborating with FEOL, BEOL and Product Reliability teams to qualify new technology.

Responsibilities include automating test capabilities with C#, Python, C++, running measurements with probers, and driving on-time qualification activity while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field
• Overall GPA 3.0 or better
• Experience in semiconductor device characterization or reliability engineering (internships/co-ops allowed)
• Hands-on experience with probers/testers (Cascade/Accretech; Agilent/Keithley)
• Proficiency in Visual Basic, C#, and C++
• Strong understanding of device operation and reliability failure mechanisms
• English language proficiency (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Develop test programs and maintain test capabilities for reliability assessments
• Perform wafer- and package-level reliability testing (HCI, BTI, TDDB, EM)
• Execute electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers
• Manage test schedules, priorities, and resources to meet qualification timelines
• Drive operational efficiency through standardization and automation
• Ensure equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety and QM requirements
• Collaborate with FEOL/BEOL and Product Reliability teams during qualification activities
• Support other responsibilities in Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs
