Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking highly motivated Process & Equipment Engineering interns for its 300mm Fab 8 facility in Malta, NY. You will collaborate with engineers to drive process improvements, data-driven decisions, and safe operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and hands-on project work with potential to develop core semiconductor engineering skills for graduation into a full-time career.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year at application time pursuing a related bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• English language fluency required (written & verbal).
• Available to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Experience with AI tools and problem solving is a plus.
• Interest in process and equipment engineering in semiconductor fab.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reducing variability in process recovery procedures.
• Help detect problems earlier and enhance process metrics (LOD).
• Support cost reduction in chemicals or qualification wafers.
• Assist standardization of processes across similar equipment.
• Support improvement projects and present results to teams.
