As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. **Summary of Role:**The CMOS FEOL Reliability Engineering Intern will support the Fab 8 Reliability Engineering organization in assessing semiconductor device reliability performance across advanced technology platforms. Working with reliability engineers, device engineers, Process Integration, Product Engineering, Yield Engineering, Reliability Laboratory, and data-analysis teams, the intern will evaluate reliability test data, investigate degradation mechanisms, and improve qualification and monitoring methodologies. **Essential Responsibilities include:*** Learn semiconductor device reliability fundamentals, including Hot Carrier Injection (HCI), Bias Temperature Instability (BTI), Time-Dependent Dielectric Breakdown (TDDB), Gate Oxide Integrity (GOI), and Process Reliability Monitoring (PRM).* Support reliability qualification and monitoring activities for advanced CMOS technologies manufactured at Fab 8.* Analyze wafer-level reliability (WLR) and fast wafer-level reliability (FWLR) test data using statistical and engineering methods.* Develop automated data-analysis, reporting, dashboard, and visualization solutions that reduce manual reporting effort and improve visibility of reliability trends across multiple technology platforms.* Perform data mining, trend analysis, comparative studies, and historical PRM correlation analysis to identify process and device factors that influence long-term reliability performance.* Develop advanced statistical monitoring methods to improve excursion detection and reliability risk assessment.* Collaborate with Device Engineering, Process Integration, Product Engineering, Yield Engineering, and Reliability Laboratory teams to support technology qualification and root-cause investigations.* Prepare reliability assessment documentation, engineering reports, and technical presentations, and present project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship. **Other Responsibilities:*** Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. **Required Qualifications:*** Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.* Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.* Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)* Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently and in a collaborative engineering environment. **Preferred Qualifications:*** Prior related internship or co-op experience* Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.* Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.* Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Strong planning & organizational skills* Knowledge of semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes.* Familiarity with statistical data-analysis techniques.* Experience with Python, JMP, Minitab, Excel, Power BI, or similar analysis and visualization tools.* Exposure to semiconductor reliability concepts, wafer-level reliability, or laboratory testing. #InternshipProgramUS **Expected Salary Range**$20.00 - $40.00**Expected Salary Range**$0.00 - $0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at usaccommodations@gf.com and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
