Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Intern for Summer 2026 in Malta, NY. You will work with the MQE team to lead a process-improvement project and develop digital tools to improve quality visibility across wafers and modules.

The role requires a sophomore pursuing engineering or data science, a 3.0+ GPA, and strong communication skills. Expected 40 hours/week and opportunities to apply AI tools for productivity.

Qualifications

• Currently a sophomore and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related engineering/data field
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
• English (written & verbal) fluency required
• Able to work at least 40 hours per week during internship
• Prior related internship or co-op experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a defined process-improvement project to increase efficiency or standardization of a manufacturing quality process
• Develop or enhance dashboards, digital tools, or automated workflows for visibility into quality actions and due dates
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, gaps, and risk areas
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality, Process Engineering, and cross-functional teams to implement solutions and communicate results
