Job summary

GlobalFoundries is offering an internship in the Foundry Manufacturing Quality Engineering (MQE) team to lead a process-improvement project and build digital tools that enhance visibility into quality actions and timelines.

You will collect quality data, identify trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements. Mentorship and practical experience in AI-enabled workflow enhancements are emphasized during this internship.

Qualifications

• Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Lead a defined process-improvement project focused on increasing the efficiency, effectiveness, or standardization of a manufacturing quality business process.
• Develop or enhance digital tools, dashboards, or automated workflows that provide engineering and manufacturing teams with clear visibility into quality actions, priorities, owners, and due dates.
• Collect and analyze quality process data to identify trends, gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities for improved performance or risk reduction.
• Partner with Manufacturing Quality, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, document improvements, and communicate project results and recommendations.
