Job summary

TOKYO ELECTRON AMERICA, INC. invites students to participate in a Summer 2027 Internship in Albany, NY. You will work on meaningful semiconductor project work, apply Lean thinking, and receive safety training while developing professional skills.

Responsibilities include developing processes, evaluating hardware and processes, analyzing data, and preparing a final project report. Strong communication, teamwork and safe-lab practices are required throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Nanoscience or Engineering; Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering; Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields.
• Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Develop new or modified processes and methods applied in the manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors
• Work with group engineers to propose criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations
• Compile, analyze and present experimental data to colleagues
• Create and revise standard operating procedures as needed, and document tasks for future reference
• Compile and analyze test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications
• Assist in interpretation of physical and chemical behaviors as part of process characterization
• Become familiar with semiconductor processing techniques through literature and hands on learning
• Prepare and present a final project report
• Complete safety training to allow supervised work in the TEL process lab
