Job summary

TOKYO ELECTRON AMERICA, INC. is seeking a Spring 2027 Co-Op in Albany, NY for up to 8 months. You will work on meaningful projects that impact semiconductor manufacturing, applying Lean thinking and contributing to process improvement.

You will develop, analyze and document experimental data, collaborate with group engineers, and prepare a final project report while completing required safety training in TEL labs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Nanoscience or Engineering
• Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be able to work in teams as well as individually
• Experience working safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals
• Ability and desire to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary and diverse team
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Develop new or modified processes and methods applied in the manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors
• Work with group engineers to propose criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations
• Compile, analyze and present experimental data to colleagues
• Create and revise standard operating procedures as needed, and document tasks for future reference
• Compile and analyze test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications
• Assist in recommendation and interpretation of physical and chemical behaviors as part of process characterization
• Become familiar with semiconductor processing techniques through literature and hands on learning
• Prepare and present a final project report
• Complete safety training to allow supervised work in the TEL process lab
