Tokyo Electron Limited in Albany, NY invites you to join our Summer 2027 Process Engineer Intern program. You will work on meaningful projects in semiconductor manufacturing, applying lean thinking and contributing to process characterization and optimization.

As an intern, you will develop new processes, analyze data, draft SOPs, and present findings. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; this is a hands-on opportunity with safety training and potential overnight travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Nanoscience or Engineering; Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering; Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields.
• Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop new or modified processes and methods in semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with group engineers to propose criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations.
• Compile, analyze and present experimental data to colleagues.
• Create and revise standard operating procedures and document tasks for future reference.
• Analyze test data to determine limits and variables for process or material specifications.
• Assist in interpretation of physical and chemical behaviors as part of process characterization.
• Familiarize with semiconductor processing techniques through literature and hands-on learning.
• Prepare and present a final project report.
• Complete safety training for supervised work in TEL process lab.
