Job summary

Lumentum is seeking a MOCVD Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors in a cleanroom environment. You will troubleshoot vacuum, gas delivery, and electrical systems, ensuring equipment stays within factory specifications to support high‑volume production.

The role requires hands-on experience with semiconductor tooling, reading schematics, and working in a cleanroom with full gowning; shift work or on‑call rotation is possible.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience maintaining complex equipment (semiconductor tools, industrial machinery, vacuum systems).
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Comfort working in a cleanroom with full gowning.
• Preferred: experience with semiconductor equipment (MOCVD, PVD, CVD, etch) and hazardous gas handling.
• Familiarity with data collection tools and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors.
• Support chamber cleans, hardware replacements, rebuilds, calibrations, and system resets.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with vacuum pumps, MFCs, valves, robotics, sensors, and gas panels.
• Execute scheduled PMs with proper documentation and attention to detail.
• Respond to production tool-down events and restore operation quickly.
