Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Goleta, CA is seeking an operator to support MOCVD manufacturing in a cleanroom environment. You will perform wafer handling, recipe execution, data recording, and shift passdown, ensuring safety and quality across 24/7 operations.

The role requires basic English, related technical education, and ability to work weekends/nights as needed; strong documentation and team communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or Associate degree preferred in electronics/semiconductor/manufacturing.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English; basic math and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Change into cleanroom garments and PPE per SOP to meet safety and contamination controls.
• Clean and maintain surfaces, tools, and load stations to control contamination.
• Record production and PM data in logs to monitor quality and readiness.
• Communicate shift passdown and escalate safety or process concerns promptly.
• Perform pre-run checks to avoid misprocessing and unsafe operation.
• Load/unload wafers carefully using approved tools.
• Support engineers and maintenance with troubleshooting and improvements.
• Work a 24/7 schedule including weekends and nights as needed.
