Lumentum Operations LLC in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a MOCVD Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors used in semiconductor epitaxy. This role ensures equipment safety, reliability, and production readiness in a cleanroom environment.
You will work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, gas delivery, and vacuum systems, document PMs, support upgrades, and collaborate with Equipment Engineers to meet production schedules.

The MOCVD Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on Metal‑Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) reactors used in semiconductor epitaxy. This role ensures that equipment operates safely, reliably, and within factory specifications to support high-volume production and engineering development. The technician works hands‑on with complex mechanical, electrical, gas delivery, and vacuum systems in a cleanroom environment.
Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field or equivalent military/technical experience. Hands‑on experience maintaining complex equipment (semiconductor tools, industrial machinery, vacuum systems, etc.). Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or vacuum systems. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. Comfort working in a cleanroom with full gowning.
Cleanroom environment with full PPE (gown, gloves, respirator if required).
Will require shift work (nights/weekends) or on‑call rotation.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work around high-temperature/hazardous gas systems.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 – 90,000USD. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
