Job summary

5N Plus is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join the semiconductor materials team in St. George, UT. You will lead wafer polishing process optimization, design new processes, and monitor key parameters to reduce variation and costs.

The role requires strong analytical skills, FMEA experience, and teamwork in a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, maintaining technical records, and driving safety and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of semiconductor processing experience, especially wafer polishing.
• Proven record of process optimization and variation reduction.
• Familiarity with SPC and data analysis; strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization initiatives for semiconductor wafer polishing operations.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce manufacturing variation and costs.
• Design and validate new manufacturing processes and equipment configurations.
• Monitor and analyze critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, gas flow).
• Drive continuous improvement and failure mode analysis; conduct root-cause analysis.
