Arizona State University seeks a Safety Specialist 2 to identify safety improvements, conduct trainings, and provide routine consultation to ensure operations meet federal, state, and local requirements. The role involves hazardous materials operations, gas systems, and life safety support at ASU facilities, with reporting to the Hazmat Supervisor.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with hazardous materials handling in semiconductor or similar settings.
• Knowledge of gas monitoring and life safety systems.
• On-call alarm response operations and safety procedures.

Mansioni

• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of hazardous areas and gas systems.
• Manage chemical inventory, deliveries, and waste disposal per regulations.
• Maintain records, LO/TO procedures, and SWP program documentation.
• Coordinate TGMS operations and interfacing with Fire Alarm systems.
• Provide training and safety guidance to staff and students as needed.
• Respond to alarms and participate in emergency response planning.
