Job summary

Arizona State University seeks a Safety Partner to monitor workplace safety, investigate concerns, and provide expert guidance on health and safety compliance. The role supports training and program development across campus and may supervise others in addition to leading emergency response efforts.

Eligible applicants must meet minimum qualifications and demonstrate ability to work across university facilities, with a focus on regulatory adherence and data-driven safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Identifies opportunities to address safety issues and conducts safety training.
• Provides intermediate to complex consultation for safety/compliance.
• May oversee the work of others and participate in emergency response activities.

Responsibilities

• Participates in site visits to audit facilities for compliance with regulations.
• Develops and manages safety programs including hot work and hazardous energy control.
• Interprets EHS data and regulatory standards for decision making.
• Coordinates safety education, outreach, and workshops.
• Trains staff to calibrate and maintain monitoring equipment.
