Job summary

MACOM welcomes a highly motivated intern to join the TechnologyDevelopment team for a 12-week program focused on semiconductor process and device failure analysis. You will work with experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience, and receive structured training and mentorship throughout the project. The role emphasizes data presentation, written and verbal communication of findings, and participation in posters and webinars.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral degree in MSE, ECE or similar engineering degree program.
• Familiarity with epitaxial growth of GaN HEMT on SiC and Silicon substrates is preferred.
• Experience with electrical probe testing/curve tracing and high-resolution optical microscopy.
• Knowledge of probing equipment and microscopy techniques (FIB, SEM, STEM) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Be assigned an individual, well-defined project with set outcomes.
• Receive hands-on training and ongoing supervision.
• Attend intern webinars and networking events; present at a poster session.
