Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to perform in-depth electrical, physical, and material analyses on failed semiconductor devices. You will apply advanced FA techniques to identify root causes and provide actionable feedback to design, process, test, and reliability teams.

The role emphasizes documentation, equipment maintenance, and development of new FA methods to improve reliability and manufacturing quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
Understanding of semiconductor device physics, IC fabrication, and packaging technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and methodical root-cause analysis.
Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and layouts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present technical information.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

Perform in-depth electrical, physical, and material analysis on failed devices.
Apply advanced FA techniques to identify root causes and provide feedback to teams.
Document procedures, findings, and conclusions in detailed reports.
Maintain and calibrate FA equipment for accuracy.
Collaborate with design, process, test, and reliability teams on corrective actions.
Develop new FA methodologies to improve efficiency and capability.
Contribute to product quality and manufacturing process improvements.
