Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design critical mechanical systems for semiconductor facilities, including HVAC, piping, chillers, boilers, and exhaust. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams on tool installation projects and facility infrastructure, ensuring high quality and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical Engineering or technically related discipline.
• An active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure quickly is highly desired.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mechanical system design utilizing AutoCAD as the primary drafting tool.
• Experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO or similar hydraulic modeling software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other mechanical building systems.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes for mechanical systems, and local building codes.
• Ability to work under quality management and change control processes; strong communication with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed engineering designs, technical plans, specs, drawings, and models.
• Create and finalize designs involving piping, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and related systems.
• Perform load analysis, pump head curves, pressure drop, and energy use calculations.
• Adhere to CAD standards and QC processes; support design reviews.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders on design objectives.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for design package needs; support field verifications.
