Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our new semiconductor fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. You will maintain medium and low voltage systems up to 35kV, including switchgear, UPS, transformer and VFD systems, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance to prevent failures.

You will work with safety standards like NFPA 70E, read electrical one-line diagrams, and coordinate contractor work.

Qualifications

• 3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience.
• 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards
• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA70
• Understanding of electrical one-line diagrams and the ability to perform feeder switching on electrical switchboards with redundant feeds
• Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment
• Provide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible in the event of a system failure
• Identify and respond according to alarm conditions
• Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues and maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment
• Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability
