Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks an Engineering Technician in Austin, TX to support testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and qualification of advanced semiconductor equipment in both research and production settings.

You will work with Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems, diagnose malfunctions, help install and qualify new equipment, and follow strict safety guidelines. An Associate degree or technical certification and 2–4 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant technical or engineering support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, maintenance, and repair of Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Support engineers and scientists in R&D and manufacturing operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain service documentation.
• Assist with installation, setup, and qualification of new semiconductor equipment.
• Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines.
