Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced semiconductor equipment engineer to leadFab-wide equipment improvement projects and optimize manufacturing performance. You will apply your equipment engineering expertise to evaluate operating performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions.

You will collaborate with fab engineering teams, analytics specialists, vendors, and OEMs to identify performance gaps, validate solutions, and coordinate implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Five+ years of semiconductor equipment engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience analyzing equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements.
• Knowledge of semiconductor equipment operating principles and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies in industrial processes.
• Data analysis and visualization tools such as Spotfire, JMP, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead fab-wide equipment engineering projects, coordinating across teams to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Facilitate Lean activities, including Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, and AIW, to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze gap-to-goal equipment performance and implement improvements.
• Create and deliver presentations and proposals for staff and executive leadership explaining findings and recommended solutions.
• Apply equipment engineering knowledge to assess emerging issues and adjust project priorities.
• Partner with analytics and solutions teams to interpret data and implement scalable improvements.
