Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Diffusion Equipment Engineer for a high-volume wafer fab environment. You will own maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and productivity of diffusion tools and processes, with emphasis on SVG VTR7000, AVP8000 and TEL Alpha furnaces.

Prior ownership of equipment reliability is required for rapid issue resolution. The role demands strong data analysis, problem solving, and the ability to train teams while collaborating with manufacturing and process engineering to

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering discipline.
• 5 years’ experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SVG VTR7000, AVP8000, TEL Alpha 8S/8SE and Lumonics Laser Scribe is highly desirable.
• Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring equipment failures.
• Demonstrated presentation skills; able to train others and present complex data to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identification and reduction of recurrent machine faults.
• Sourcing and installing new equipment.
• Reducing defectivity and scrap through process improvements.
• Defining tool maintenance procedures and capacity planning.
• Training technicians and peers; cross-functional lean activity participation.
