Job summary

HRL Laboratories in California seeks a creative and motivated device modeling engineer to push the frontier of quantum transport and semiconductor device physics, working with both classical and quantum nanodevices.

You will use TCAD tools like Sentaurus Device/Process and COMSOL to model electronic, optical, thermal, and magnetic properties, and collaborate with fabrication and test teams to interpret data and optimize performance in cryogenic and extreme environments.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline.
• Experience with TCAD tools (Sentaurus Device/Process) and COMSOL multiphysics.
• Strong background in semiconductor properties and computational modeling.
