Job summary

NXP Semiconductors seeks a Day Shift Analytical Engineering Lab Technician to join the Physical Analysis Labs at the ATMC site in Austin, TX. The role focuses on maintaining quality control over chemicals, monitoring wafer and ambient contamination, and supporting failure analysis to identify root causes.

The successful candidate will work with autonomy and receive mentorship from engineers and chemists in semiconductor manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred, with a strong foundation in general chemistry.
Prior experience in a chemistry laboratory environment required.
Ability to work effectively in both wet lab and cleanroom environments.
Hands-on experience with a wide range of analytical instrumentation and techniques.
Familiarity with process control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain quality control over a diverse range of chemicals used in manufacturing.
Monitor contamination on wafers and in the ambient environment.
Support failure analysis investigations to determine root causes.
Work with a high degree of autonomy and grow professionally through mentorship.
