Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and additional needs
• Supporting pupils to manage their emotions and regulate their behaviour
• Helping pupils develop positive strategies for managing frustration
• Building positive relationships and acting as a consistent role model
• Encouraging pupils to engage with learning and classroom activities
• Supporting teachers with behaviour management and routines
• Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, independence and social skills
• Recognising triggers and responding calmly and appropriately
• Working with teachers, pastoral staff and other professionals
• Maintaining a safe, structured learning environment
