Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a Behaviour Mentor in Greenwich to join a pastoral and pupil support team. You will work directly with children and young people to support behavioural and emotional needs, helping them regulate and engage with learning.

The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with ASAP start, providing hands-on experience and guidance from experienced education professionals.

Qualifications

• Calm, patient, and consistent approach to supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional needs.
• Experience in education, youth work, residential care, mentoring, or related fields is beneficial.
• Graduates or candidates with transferable experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring for pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
• Develop positive relationships to support pupils who find school challenging.
• Help pupils recognise emotions, identify triggers, and develop coping strategies.
• Assist pupils to regulate behaviour and return to learning after incidents.
• Promote positive attitudes toward education, attendance, relationships and personal responsibility.
• Support pupils to improve communication, social skills, confidence and self-esteem.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, pastoral teams, and other professionals for joined-up support.
• Record observations and communicate progress to staff.
