Job summary

VDart Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in Bellevue, WA, to design, build, and govern the enterprise semantic layer using Microsoft Fabric for trusted, self-service analytics.

You’ll partner with data domain teams to assess readiness, ensure data quality, and model data for optimal semantic consumption across the business. You will develop and optimize pipelines from Snowflake and Databricks, mentor peers in semantic modeling, and help shape project definitions, estimates, and scoping

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or similar roles.
• Experience building semantic models and BI data layers.
• Proficient with cloud data platforms and data governance basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and govern semantic models in Microsoft Fabric to enable trusted self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with data teams to assess table readiness and data quality for semantic modeling.
• Recommend best-practice data modeling (star schema, conformed dimensions).
• Develop and optimize pipelines from Snowflake and Databricks into the semantic layer.
• Wrangle data and generate insights; mentor team on semantic modeling.
• Assist management with project estimation, planning, and scoping.
