Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Knowledge Engineer to build enterprise semantic models, ontologies, and knowledge graphs that improve decision-making and governance across the organization.

You will partner with data architecture, engineering, governance, AI, and business teams to translate business needs into scalable semantic solutions, align data across systems, and advance metadata standards and data relationships for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in data engineering or knowledge engineering.
• 3+ years of sematic technologies, data modeling, graph databases, and semantic web standards.
• 3+ years delivering enterprise data solutions across architecture, engineering, and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs.
• Define metadata standards and data relationships to support governance and compliance.
• Align data from multiple systems to shared business definitions and semantic standards.
• Collaborate with data architecture, engineering, governance, AI, and business teams to translate needs into scalable semantic solutions.
• Enable advanced data discovery and analytics using semantic web standards and graph technologies.
• Design semantic frameworks that improve context, search, and knowledge-driven insights for AI readiness.
• Advance metadata, lineage, and governance practices across the organization.
