Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Knowledge Engineer to build enterprise semantic models, ontologies, and knowledge graphs that standardize meaning across data domains. You will partner with business and technology teams to define shared concepts, metadata standards, and scalable semantic solutions that boost governance, decision making, and AI capabilities.

You will map data from multiple systems to common definitions, enable advanced data discovery using graph technologies, and help ensure data

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Data Science/Knowledge Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years with semantic technologies, data modeling, graph databases and semantic web standards.
3+ years delivering enterprise data solutions with cross-team collaboration.
Preferred: data governance, knowledge graphs, and enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop enterprise semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs.
Define metadata standards and data relationships to support governance.
Align data across systems to shared business definitions and semantic standards.
Collaborate with data architecture, engineering, governance, AI and business teams.
Enable data discovery and analytics using semantic web and graph tech.
Design semantic frameworks to improve context, search, and insights.
Advance metadata, lineage, and governance best practices across the organization.
