Job summary

Associated Bank seeks a Knowledge Engineer to build semantic foundations that connect data, improve governance, and enhance AI capabilities across the enterprise. You’ll partner with business and technology teams to define shared data definitions and semantic standards, enabling trusted analytics and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with semantic technologies, data modeling, graph databases, and semantic web standards.
• 3+ years of experience delivering enterprise data solutions with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graph structures for consistent business meaning across data domains.
• Define and maintain enterprise concepts, metadata standards, and data relationships to support governance and compliance.
• Align data from multiple systems by mapping technical data to shared business definitions and reusable semantic standards.
• Collaborate with data architecture, engineering, governance, AI, and business teams to translate needs into scalable semantic solutions.
• Enable advanced data discovery and analytics by applying semantic web standards, graph technologies, and knowledge modeling practices.
• Design semantic frameworks that improve context, search, and knowledge-driven insights for AI-ready data.
• Advance metadata, lineage, and governance best practices across the organization.
