Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Strategic Energy Management Coach to guide energy teams in identifying, evaluating, and implementing energy efficiency activities in commercial and industrial facilities across northern Illinois. You will lead workshops and provide coaching to help participants apply continuous improvement to energy management.

Travel to client sites is required, with periodic meetings in Oak Brook. Preferred candidates have experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six

Responsibilities

• Motivate and coach plant and facility management and teams.
• Guide the development of overall continuous improvement plans.
• Facilitate training workshops, onsite energy audits, and other one-on-one events.
• Analyze the performance of industrial processes using monitoring equipment and statistical analysis.
• Write reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct site walk-throughs to identify energy savings opportunities.
• Develop site improvement plans.
• Escalate program and client issues to the SEM Program Manager.

Job Description

About the role The Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Coach guides energy teams in identifying, evaluating, and implementing energy efficiency activities in commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will support multiple utility clients across northern Illinois. Your main goal is to help program participants apply the principles of continuous improvement to energy management. You will do this through group workshops and individual coaching, using a mix of educating, teaching, and explaining.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and coach plant and facility management and teams
• Guide the development of overall continuous improvement plans
• Facilitate training workshops, onsite energy audits, and other one-on-one events
• Analyze the performance of industrial processes using monitoring equipment and statistical analysis
• Write reports for technical and non-technical audiences
• Conduct site walk-throughs to identify energy savings opportunities
• Develop site improvement plans
• Escalate program and client issues to the SEM Program Manager

Preferred qualifications

Experience with continuous improvement, change management, or Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles

Work location and travel

• Travel to program participant sites (e.g., facilities, school districts) on a periodic, as-needed basis
• Periodic attendance at the Oak Brook office for larger team meetings, workshops, and event planning

Target Compensation

$75,000 DOT

Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Compensation Range

$62,700.00 - $94,100.00 Currency USD Type Salary

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
