Major Function

Assists the Manager in the operation of the sales staff, showroom floor, store operations, and acts as manager on duty when required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Meet sales targets by serving customers, selling products, and performing all duties required of a Sales Consultant.
  2. Conduct sales training, reviews, and provide sales support as needed.
  3. Collaborate with Sales Consultants on MySalesCenter.
  4. Motivate sales associates and guide them to improve sales performance.
  5. Supervise the sales team and conduct sales meetings in the store manager’s absence.
  6. Open and/or close the store as required.
  7. Provide office coverage as needed.
  8. Count cash boxes and handle deposits to the bank.
Job Requirements

Occasionally perform the following duties as needed:

  1. Prepare bank deposits and daily closing summaries.
  2. Maintain an organized and secure office environment.
  3. Answer incoming calls.
  4. Review unconfirmed sales for the next 8 delivery days.
  5. Process customer sales and account transactions.
  6. Handle customer complaints, open store notes, and follow up on customer service tickets.
  7. Monitor expected deliveries to ensure sales are completed and schedule deliveries accordingly.
  8. Run and analyze daily reports.
  9. Communicate with Havertys Credit Services for account requests and follow-up.
