Nuveen is seeking an Associate, Self-Storage Asset Management to help maximize the value of its U.S. self-storage portfolio by supporting management, leasing, renovations, expansions, and recapitalization/dispositions of real estate investments.

The role emphasizes financial analysis, budgeting, ESG initiatives, and collaboration with operating partners across various asset classes. Travel may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial real estate experience.
• 3+ years of commercial real estate asset management and/or acquisition preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Help manage an existing and growing self-storage portfolio across risk profiles.
• Engage with operating partners to maximize investment performance.
• Assist in annual and multi-year budgets and monitor performance.
• Perform financial analysis to assess current and projected performance.
• Support capital planning and long-term capital strategies for properties.
• Identify asset expansion and conversion opportunities for climate/temperature control.
• Review quarterly valuations and financial data for fund requirements.
• Assist transactions team in underwriting, due diligence, and dispositions.
