Job summary

Ares is seeking an Acquisitions Analyst with a strong interest in real estate investing to support the Self Storage Real Estate Group. This role will help identify, evaluate, and execute potential self storage acquisitions and developments, including underwriting, due diligence, and transaction execution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related Business fields and 0-2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or related Business majors.
• 0-2 years relevant experience in real estate acquisitions or asset management.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of financial reports and accounting.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial underwriting models for self storage acquisitions and development deals.
• Manage pipeline and review property diligence materials.
• Conduct market research on self storage fundamentals.
• Prepare investment summaries and materials for Senior Management and Investment Committee.
• Coordinate third-party reports and diligence materials.
• Travel as needed; work extended hours and weekends.
