Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Home Loan Advisor - External to actively solicit mortgage loans in the Bay Area and build a robust referral network. The role emphasizes superior member service, regulatory compliance, and proficient handling of the loan process from origination to closing.

The ideal candidate brings at least five years in mortgage-related work, including two years generating self-sourced business, and strong analytical and communication skills to support compliant, timely loan

Qualifications

• Exceptional member service and communication.
• Strong credit and financial analysis.
• Current working knowledge of mortgage industry and regulations.
• Ability to collect and report market and product information.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans from self-sourced relationships and manage leads.
• Assist members with product selection, disclosures, lock requests and approvals.
• Review financial data and collateral information to identify underwriting concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of RESPA, HPML, HOEPA, QM and AML requirements.
• Oversee the mortgage process from origination to close with timely communication.
