Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a Self-Direction Coordinator in Rocky Point, NY. This full-time, hybrid position combines in-office and remote work alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
The role oversees self-directed services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, acting as the primary caseload contact and coordinating staffing, training, and budget administration. A 4-year degree is required, with strong Excel/Word and database skills and NY driver’s license.

Department: Self-Directed Services seeks a FT Self-Direction Coordinator.
Full time - Hourly Position: to include full benefits package, PTO and Holidays.
Salary: Starting Range $28/hr annually.
Location: Position is hybrid and includes in-office and remote work hours.
Summary: The Self-Direction Coordinator will assist people with intellectual disabilities, their families, and their circle of support to self-direct services while ensuring they work within their individualized budget. The Self-Direction Coordinator serves as the primary contact for their caseload and is responsible: a) to provide staffing resources for individuals on their caseload, assist with the hiring/training/monitoring of employees, and provide training to the individual/family as co-employer of record; b) provide assistance to the support broker/person receiving supports/family to access all services in the budget and to process payments as requested; c) for the billing and payment of approved goods and services, fiscal accounting and reporting, Medicaid and corporate compliance, and general administrative supports; d) to generate monthly expenditure reports and monitor all costs associated with budgets and address with participant/broker as necessary; e) to review budget amendments and CNBAs submitted by support brokers f) to ensure all required documents for service delivery and billing are maintained; g) to attend Life Plan and COS meetings; h) other duties as necessary in support of the agency mission.
Candidate should have a strong background using Microsoft Teams, Excel and Word as well as database management software. Background with eVero Software or other on-line record keeping is a plus. Valid New York State Drivers’ License.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service Field or Finance equivalent; two years’ experience working in a Human Service Field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
