Carrollton Public Schools seeks a caring, certified Special Education Teacher to plan, implement, and monitor standards-aligned instructional programs for Emotionally-Impaired students in a self-contained setting.

You will coordinate IEP meetings, collaborate with staff, differentiate instruction, and ensure a positive learning environment while upholding confidentiality and professional standards. This role includes PBIS integration and ongoing professional development.

Qualificações

• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate (Grades 9-12) with Special Education endorsement, or eligibility for temporary approval.
• Knowledge of the IEP process and special education law.
• Experience with or knowledge of disability-related education strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, develop, and deliver instructional services aligned with students' IEPs and identified educational needs.
• Coordinate and monitor IEP meetings, including goals, objectives, and accommodations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and staff to support students in inclusive settings.
• Differentiate instruction using evidence-based practices and PBIS.
• Observe, assess, and monitor student progress; adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain confidential student records and professional documentation.
