Job summary

Food Lion in Raleigh is seeking a Self Checkout Ambassador to deliver fast, friendly service at the front end. You will guide customers through self-checkout and assist with transactions, ensuring accuracy and a positive shopping experience.

The role requires good communication, reliability and the ability to learn the self-checkout system. You will work with store teams to maintain a neat area and help customers with questions and payments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use self-checkouts properly including use of the hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout.
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including the scanning of all items and the accurate scanning of each.
