City of Albuquerque is seeking a skilled program manager to oversee the Capital Implementation Program, including consultant selection, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, and policy development. You will coordinate with divisions, outside agencies and the public, providing complex staff support to management.

Manage, plan and coordinate assigned activities and operations within the Capital Implementation Program including selection of consultant services, negotiation and preparation of professional/technical contracts, capital planning, budgeting, scheduling and development of policy recommendations, project management; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public and provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to assigned supervisory or management staff.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in construction management, engineering, architecture or landscape architecture, public administration or related field; and Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in public procurement, contract administration, consultant selection, capital improvement program, public administration, or planning experience; and To include three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Public speaking experience preferred.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Office and field environment; travel from site to site, exposure to computer screens; inclement weather conditions.
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time; operating motorized vehicles.
