Job summary

Springfield Public Schools SEZP is seeking an Adjustment Counselor (Clinician) to support middle and high school students across SEZP-Wide. The role entails delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring, and collaboration to ensure students access rigorous curriculum and opportunities.

The candidate will counsel individuals and groups, coordinate with families and staff, and participate in professional learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and DESE license in appropriate subject/grade
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Experience teaching middle/high school is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners with strong instruction and relationships

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction using evidence-based curricula
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Collaborate with colleagues in co-teaching and PLCs
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
• Refer students to appropriate levels of care and coordinate with supervisors
