Job summary

Clayco SEI is seeking a Project Engineer to support on-site construction projects nationwide from our Atlanta-area site. You will back the Project Manager with technical documentation, scheduling, and reporting of activities, progress, and safety observations.

The role covers planning, construction, start-up, testing, commissioning, and turnover across multiple trades. Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to manage design schedules, forecasts, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 0–5 years of experience managing construction projects, ideally design-build.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
• Previous experience on a successful project management team.
• Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and scale multi-floor scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Assist in the planning process.
• Assist in the establishment of project forecasts and budgets.
• Assist in the reporting of project status and cost.
• Manage drawings, project closeouts, and turnovers.
• Observe field activities to assist with the schedule.
• Facilitate productivity reporting for self-performed trades and owner billings.
