Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Engineer for SEI on construction projects nationwide. Based on site, you will support the Project Manager by providing technical support, documenting project activities, and reporting on meetings.

The role covers structural, mechanical, electrical scopes, with full life cycle from planning to turnover. You will build relationships with clients and subs, assist in budgets, forecasts, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related degree.
• 0 to 5 years of experience managing construction projects, ideally design-build.
• Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Team with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to create and manage a design schedule.
• Assist in the planning process and in establishing budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in reporting project status and cost; accept responsibility for project execution.
• Review change orders and negotiate terms; manage material/equipment tracking and deliveries.
• Oversee schedule/coordination/document control and design trades; participate in cost reviews.
