Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary Teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of learners and leaders. This long-term substitute position starts 10/14/2026 and runs through 01/04/2027. Substitutes are hired at the per diem rate of pay.

Reports to: Principal/Head of School. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary instruction, district curriculum alignment, and creating a developmentally appropriate, positive classroom environment that supports all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Elementary 1-6 license or eligibility.
• Fully licensed and Highly Qualified per state standards.
• Authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Elementary in an SEI setting.
• Deliver interdisciplinary instruction aligned to district curricula.
• Assess student progress with district-guided assessments.
• Establish a positive, structured classroom with clear routines.
• Engage families and maintain professional collaboration.
