Job summary

The Segment Sales Engineer at Aebi Schmidt Group oversees the design, development, and customization of walk-in vans, truck bodies, and specialty vehicles for selected industries. You’ll collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver solutions that meet client needs, regulatory standards, and feasibility.

You will travel domestically and internationally, present technical concepts to customers, and support product launches while driving cost efficiency and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in engineering or technical fields.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Analytical and hands-on technical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to review/modify assemblies with SolidWorks 3-D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product design, prototyping, testing, and production launch.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver customized solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Drive cost control and product performance improvements.
• Maintain relationships with external customers and provide technical/business solutions.
• Serve as technical advisor and product advocate for regional sales.
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate when needed.
• Perform competitive benchmarking to inform strategy and planning.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Support sales/marketing events and travel to key customers and OEMs.
• Maintain quotes, project requests, contacts, and correspondence.
• Support Systems Engineering with tools/processes.
