Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking an Upfit Technician to perform high-quality upfit installations of truck accessories and execute service repairs on various truck bodies in a service shop environment. You will read and follow detailed work orders and drawings while fabricating mounting brackets as needed.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, and prior experience in vehicle mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and basic fabrication techniques is preferred. PTO experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a service shop environment preferred.
• Experienced with vehicle mechanics, including electrical systems, hydraulics and basic fabrication techniques.
• PTO experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install consistent, quality upfits on truck bodies and accessories.
• Perform custom service repairs on commercial vehicles and flatbeds.
• Document causes and corrections for repairs.
• Fabricate custom mounting brackets.
• Read and follow detailed work orders, installation drawings, blueprints, etc.

What you'll do:

The UpfitTechnician is responsible for the consistent and quality upfit installations oftruck accessories and service repairs on various truck bodies.

• Complete consistent and quality installs oftruck accessories
  Including but not limited to lift gates,shelving units, tool boxes, body components and lighting systems
• Complete custom service repairs on commercialvehicles and flatbeds
  service repairs on truck bodies
• Document the cause and corrections for all repairs
• Fabricating custom mounting brackets
• Read and follow detailed work orders,installation drawings, blueprints, etc.

What you need to be successful:

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Experience in a service shop environment preferred
• Experienced with vehicle mechanics, includingelectrical systems, hydraulics and basic fabrication techniques
• PTO experience a plus
