Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks a Segment Risk Manager to oversee and administer operational and regulatory risk strategy programs for a business segment in a dynamic financial services environment. The role requires collaboration with business leaders to align risk with strategic objectives.

You will evaluate controls, direct self-monitoring, and ensure timely escalation of issues, while maintaining adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or four additional years of risk-related experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk Management or Operational Risk.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate effectiveness of controls and upscale as appropriate.
• Direct self-monitoring and testing activities per Corporate Risk Management requirements.
• Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of enterprise and regulatory controls and risk assessments.
• Escalate issues to senior management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with business segment management to support strategic goals.
• Coordinate with audit and risk teams to address issues with action plans and dates.
• Serve as central point for risk information flow within the segment and back to corporate risk management.
• Ensure adherence to corporate and business unit policies and procedures.
• Monitor credit risk within the assigned segment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
