UPMC Touchstone Medical Imaging in York, PA is seeking a Center Manager who is a licensed Physician Assistant to lead a high-complexity imaging center. You will oversee contrast administration, patient flow, operations and staff performance, while partnering with joint venture leadership to drive quality and financial results.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, business acumen, and a track record of staff development, scheduling, and process improvement.

Formación

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Pennsylvania PA-C licensure.
• Current DEA registration if required for job duties.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• At least 3 years of experience as a licensed Physician Assistant.
• Business management experience with ability to manage P&L.

Responsabilidades

• Perform patient assessments and determine appropriateness for contrast administration.
• Monitor patients receiving IV contrast.
• Evaluate and manage contrast reactions and extravasations.
• Document all contrast-related events, patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Manage center(s) within a single geographic area.
• Develop, review, and implement action plans based on financial reporting to enhance center performance.
• Lead regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones.
• Lead, initiate, and participate in annual performance evaluations and development.
• Establish associate schedules to ensure staffing coverage.
• Evaluate, implement, and manage workflow and process improvements for the department.
• Support employees ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction.
• Develop methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours

Location: York, PA

Job Summary

The Center Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient and effective services for our imaging patients and families in a high complexity center(s). This position will oversee contrast administration as well. Creates a positive and collaborative work environment while supervising the daily activities, patient flow, operations, clinical procedures, and performance of center staff. Participates in short-term and long-range planning and business development.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and determine appropriateness for contrast administration in accordance with established protocols and applicable regulations.
• Monitor patients receiving IV contrast.
• Evaluate and manage contrast reactions and extravasations.
• Document all contrast-related events, patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provide clinical decision-making and support regarding contrast administration and patient safety.

Manages center(s) within a single geographic area

• Maintains positive working relationships with joint venture partnerships, if applicable
• Acts as the owner of the P&L with responsibility for escalating issues and concerns
• Develops, reviews, and implements action plans based on financial reporting to enhance center performance
• Attends training to stay up to date on best practices and protocols
• Implements and manages the training and onboarding program for new associates
• Participates in the staff planning and hiring process for new associates
• Leads regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones
• Monitors and approves timecards on a daily or weekly basis
• Leads, initiates, and participates in annual performance evaluations, development and performance management of associates
• Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
• Evaluates, implements, and manages workflow and process improvements for the department
• Ensures the department has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
• Supports employees ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
• Develops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current unrestricted Pennsylvania licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Current DEA registration if required for job duties
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• At least 3 years of experience as a licensed Physician’s Assistant (Advanced Practitioner Provider)
• Business management experience
• Knowledge of financial acumen and ability to manage P&L
• Graduate level education
• Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trends
• Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision making
• Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management
