Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking a senior full-stack engineer for a 12-month contract position based in Kansas City, Missouri.

You will join the FDR MOD team to support new software development, participate in daily standups, report on progress, identify impediments, and plan work with the existing engineering team. You will develop features in Java and Angular, design Spring Boot services with JPA, and optimize SQL performance while guiding remediation under SCA/quality gates.

Qualifications

• Senior-level full-stack engineering experience.
• 8+ years of Java development experience (ideally 17+).
• Expertise with Spring Boot services and JPA/persistence.
• Angular and TypeScript SPA development including HTML/CSS.
• Advanced SQL skills and performance tuning.
• Experience with dependency and CVE remediation; comfort with SCA gates.
• Ability to work both independently and with teams; ownership of code quality.
• Experience using AI tools responsibly with validation.

• Develop new full-stack features using Java and Angular with TypeScript
• Design and implement Spring Boot services with JPA/persistence layers
• Write and optimize SQL queries, manage database relationships and indices, and ensure strong performance characteristics
• Participate in daily standups and provide progress updates on assignments
• Work across both legacy and modern codebases, adapting to mixed architectural patterns
• Manage dependency and CVE remediation under SCA/quality gate tools such as Nexus IQ and SonarQube
• Use AI tools responsibly, validate outputs, and maintain ownership of code quality

Qualifications

• Required
  • Senior-level full-stack engineering experience
  • Strong Java proficiency (8+ years, ideally 17+)
  • Demonstrated expertise with Spring Boot services and JPA/persistence frameworks
  • Angular and TypeScript SPA development experience, including HTML and CSS
  • Advanced SQL skills including understanding of relationships, indices, CTEs, transaction management, connection pooling, and query performance characteristics
  • Experience with dependency and CVE remediation; comfort working under SCA/quality gates (Nexus IQ, SonarQube)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience using AI tools responsibly with discipline to validate outputs and ownership of work quality
