Job summary

Incotec, the seed enhancement specialist and part of Croda, seeks a Coating Process Operator for our Salinas, CA site. You will coat seeds such as lettuce, carrot, tomato, and onion, and support pelleting processes to meet strict quality standards while following safety procedures.

The role requires at least one year of production experience, basic math skills, and the ability to work well in a team. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of production experience.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages and use the metric system.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification or experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent attendance, which is crucial to the team’s success.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coat basic products, including lettuce, carrot, tomato, and onion, produced at the production location to meet quality specs.
• Perform dry sizing or pesticide coating as required.
• Follow the daily pelleting schedule and confirm readiness for the next morning.
• Prepare for pelleting by following procedures and verifying seed
• Ensure all equipment and seed tubs are clean to prevent contamination.
• Weigh fungicides, colors, and additives following safety procedures.
• Verify dryer boxes and trays are clean before seed transfer.
